🧠 Notes & Reflections¶
About to start testing on staging.opencollective.com what setting up OpsDev.nz as collective0 will look like, spent time this morning w/ OpsDev agent to think about the onboarding process and criteria. Updated the OpsDev.nz with the collective onboarding proposal. Sort of like OpsDev.nz first decision record, they will probably setup their own decision record, we may work on some tooling around this, based on the adr tool, managing markdown docs as ADRs. Also we will take a look at Python's way of managing PEPs, and adopt or incorporate what they are doing. Our approach to ADRs are like PEPs, Zensical also uses this system and they call them ZAPs, so need to check how their tooling for that works. Since we are basically adopting them as docs platform, we should fall in line with how they are managing ADRs.
We have pretty much decided to create another Zenscial site, called outcomes.startmeup.nz in order to clean up a very messy internal vibe coding repo, and start moving more of our planning and incubating space into a public repository. We might end up w/ two now that I think about it, one called dev or development.startmeup.nz? I'm tempted to called it vibe.startmeup.nz. heh, maybe vibdev.startmeup.nz.
The process for creating anything is to try a bunch of things, when you find something that works, try a little harder, and then when it looks like it might be worth sharing, publish it and call it the 0.1.0 release. That is my philosphy anyway.
OpsDev.nz Collective launch and the RAMP project¶
We are hoping we do this by the end of the week, and then taking a week off from SMUNZ work.
When we return next month, OpsDev.nz will be the collective that takes our banking automation the rest of the way. We are currently manually reconciling our expenses twice a month, but after OpDev.nz get's done it will be happening pretty much in real time. There will be some more planning and roadmapping around this next month, these are integrations between OpenCollective, Stripe and our ANZ bank account happening. We call this the RAMP project, to build this basic infrastructure for the fiscal host. No ETA one when that is done, we are only starting on it next month, but have done a bit of discovery, automted our manual process as much we can, situated the ledger in it's own private repo etc.
As of today, we are saying startmeup.nz and opsdev.nz are at version: 0.2.0
